Teesside

All sexual health services
You can walk into most of our clinics to attend a walk-in service for contraception and sexual health, the dates and times are listed below;

Lawson Street, Stockton on Tees: Monday 1-6pm, Wednesday 1-5pm

Fens, Hartlepool: Tuesday 1-6pm,  Thursday 1-5pm

Live Well Centre, Middlesbrough: Monday 1-5, Thursday 1-6pm

Redcar Heart: Wednesday 1-5, Friday 1-3pm

Alternatively, you can call us on 0300 330 1122 Monday to Friday from 9-5pm to speak to one our team who will sign post you to the most appropriate option based on our availability.

 

STI Testing

You can order a free kit and test at home for the most common STI’s. To order your kit, you can contact our partner SH:24, by clicking on this link https://sh24.org.uk/orders/sti-test-kit/intro-sti  and you can order you free testing kit directly to your home.

If you would prefer to be seen by the service, you can walk into most of our clinics to attend a walk-in service (see our opening times above). Alternatively, you can call us on 0300 330 1122 to Friday from 9am to speak to one our team who will sign post you to the most propriate option based on our availability.

For condoms you can walk into our clinics and ask the reception who will assist you.  Alternatively, you may be able to buy condoms from a pharmacy in your area.

 

If you have been sexually assaulted you can call us on 0300 330 1122 Monday to Saturday from 9am to speak to one our team who will sign post you to the most appropriate option based on our availability. Emergency contraception pill: how to access it

The emergency contraception (EC) pill (previously called the ‘morning after pill’) can be taken after condomless sex to help prevent an unintended pregnancy.There are two different types of emergency contraception pill. Click here for more information on the emergency contraception pill.

There are a number of ways to access the emergency contraception pill:

  • You can walk into most of our clinics under our emergency criteria if you require emergency contraception.
  • Some pharmacies are contracted to provide emergency contraception. You can find a list of pharmacies which offer emergency contraception by clicking here. Please ring the pharmacy you’ve chosen to attend before you turn up to make sure that a member of staff is available who can prescribe emergency contraception.
  • Click on this link MECC Gateway and search for your local area to find Pharmacies that offer EHC.

If you have a booked appointment and want to cancel or confirm any of the details can call us on 0300 330 1122 Monday to Friday from 9am to speak to one our team. If you are enquiring about booking an appointment we are unable to take any new self-referrals while our systems are down, however, you can contact your GP who can refer you into our service via the NHS e-referral portal.
