Cheshire West & Chester

All sexual health services

You can walk into most of our clinics to attend a walk-in service for contraception and sexual health.

Fountain Clinic, Chester CH1 4DS – Mon 8.15am – 11.30am and 1pm – 3.30pm, Wed-Fri 8.15am – 11.30am and 1pm – 3.30pm. Mon -Thurs evenings 4pm – 7pm by appointment only by calling 0300 247 0020. Sat 9am-11.30am and 1pm-4pm by appointment only by calling 0300 247 0020.

Emergency contraception pill: how to access it

The emergency contraception (EC) pill (previously called the ‘morning after pill’) can be taken after condomless sex to help prevent an unintended pregnancy.

 

There are two different types of emergency contraception pill. Click here for more information on the emergency contraception pill. There are a number of ways to access the emergency contraception pill:

  • You can walk into most of our clinics under our emergency criteria if you require emergency contraception. Click here to find our timetable.
  • Some pharmacies are contracted to provide emergency contraception. You can find a list of pharmacies which offer emergency contraception by clicking here. Please ring the pharmacy you’ve chosen to attend before you turn up to make sure that a member of staff is available who can prescribe emergency contraception.

Coil and implant services

You can call us on 0300 247 0020 Monday to Saturday from 9am to speak to one our team who will sign post you to the most propriate option based on our availability. If you are unable to get an appointment with the sexual health clinic you can try and access via a GP in your area who can provide coil and implant services by clicking here.

 

HIV Care and Treatment services

For new or follow-up appointments, or if you are running out of medication you can call us on 0300 247 0020 Monday to Saturday from 9am to speak to one our team who will sign post you to the most propriate option based on our availability. Alternatively, you can email us at hcrg.chester.hivadmin@nhs.net.

 

Vasectomy services

If you have a booked appointment and want to cancel or confirm any of the details can call us on 0300 247 0020 Monday to Saturday from 9am to speak to one our team. If you are enquiring about booking an appointment we are unable to take any new self-referrals while our systems are down, however, you can contact your GP who can refer you into our service via the NHS e-referral portal.

 

Oldham, Bury & Rochdale
